Delete your H2U account
You can delete your account and its data at any time. There are two ways to do it, and you do not need to contact us for either.
In the app
- Open H2U
- Go to Settings
- Tap Delete account at the bottom
- Type
DELETEto confirm
Your account is removed immediately. You are signed out on every device.
By email
Send a request from the email address on the account. We can only act on a request that arrives from that address — it is the only way to confirm the account is yours without asking you for more personal data than we already hold.
Requests are actioned within 30 days, and usually within a few business days. You will get a confirmation when it is done.
What gets deleted

What your partner keeps
H2U is used by two people, so deleting your account has to leave the other person intact. It does:
- Their own drink history, totals and goal are untouched.
- Their app returns to the single-ring view, as it was before you paired.
- They are told that their partner’s account was deleted. They are not shown any of your data.
- They can pair with someone else afterwards.
What is kept, and why
Two things outlive the account. Both are one-way hashes — neither can be turned back into your email address, and neither is used to contact you or to build a profile of you. Both are deleted automatically after three years.

Anonymised, non-identifying aggregates — for example the total number of drinks logged on a given day across all users — are also retained. They contain nothing that points back to you.
Payment records held by Google are Google's records, not ours, and are governed by its retention policies. Deleting your H2U account does not cancel a subscription: cancel it in Google Play — Play Store, then Payments and subscriptions — before you delete, or you will keep being billed. Google Play is the only place a subscription can be cancelled; we cannot do it for you.
Deleting the app is not the same thing
Removing H2U from your phone leaves the account and its data on our servers. Use one of the two routes above to delete the account itself.
